Wrong detailed conneciton may cause significant energy loss in buildings, as much as materials with low energy performance can do. Connection principles between façade and primary structure have a huge importance in this respect.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

Typical Sections of curtain wall types are analyzed according to related international norms to define thickness and characteristics of insulation materials, characteristic types of glass units and profiles that shall be determined according to desired heat resistance performance. Also two directional heat flow analysis for critical connections can be necessary, in order to examine condensation risk.

Sound resistance calculations are made for some conneciton details such as between room wall and façade, then special detail solutions can be developed according to desired performance.

Main system elements such as insulated glass unit, vertical and horizontal curtain wall profiles, anchor plates, steel substructure of cladding systems and balustrades are dimensioned according to stress and deflection analysis before shop drawings prepared.
